Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and monophosphoryl lipid A (MPLA) induce, overall, similar transcriptional profiles in healthy individuals, although LPS has been shown to more potently induce pro-inflammatory cytokines. It consists of 82 main questions and 34 subsidiary questions to be completed at home by the patients before their first visit to a pulmonologist.
